Aphrodisiacs. What are They?
There are all kinds of do-it-yourself aphrodisiac recipes out there, but before you head out to the store to buy the ingredients there are a few things you should know.
First of all, there are two main categories of aphrodisiacs. There are aphrodisiacs that can help you to attract that hot guy or girl you have your eye on, and there are aphrodisiacs that are used to help you to enhance your sexual prowess and increase the pleasure you give and receive.
History
Aphrodisiacs have been used for thousands of years, in many diverse cultures including the ancient Greeks, traditional African tribes, and in the Far East. Many of the aphrodisiac recipes you can find today use a mixture of herbs, roots, and other substances that have been used for thousands of years around the world.
Ingredients
Some of the ingredients that are used in aphrodisiac recipes are herbs and plant extracts that we already use for things such as memory enhancement, increased energy, and even skincare. Gingko Biloba, Ginseng, and Oatmeal extracts are just a few of the ingredients used for making aphrodisiacs.
Some of the aphrodisiacs out there are simple mood foods. We’ve all heard of the aphrodisiac qualities of Oysters, and of romantic food such as strawberries and pineapples. Music and soft lighting (especially candles) are also romance-inducing.
Or did you hear about the special ones like Elixcite, spanish fly, powder from seahorse, or soup no.5?
Aromatherapy is also very seductive. All these things can help you get that special someone out of the living room and into the bedroom. But first, you need to get his or her attention.
